NEWS FROM YOUR PRESIDENT, HEATHER WILBORN  2023-24 was another busy year in the Porum Landing community!  The Fire Chief will give you specifics, but I can certainly say our Volunteer Fire Department continued to stay as busy as ever with fire and medical calls.   The Elected Board Members, the Fire Dept Auxiliary and the Community Lunch volunteers have also dedicated themselves to continuing the high standard of serving this community in so many ways. From breakfasts to lunches , fish fry’s, hamburger and ice-cream events, holiday dinners, Craft Bazaar to providing Christmas baskets for local families in need left our volunteers busy – and tired too!  Our maintenance volunteers, have been busy as well updating and maintaining our building and outdoor helipad. This too is a job not many want to volunteer for but is so necessary in order to keep our community served in many ways.  My thanks and appreciation to all of you for your kind, loving and giving hearts.     We look forward to seeing you at one of the many events scheduled for this year – check out the calendar of events enclosed.
